Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

When Dr. Stein was a child, she had a very bad dental experience, but there was a silver lining. As a result, she was brought to her new dentist, who was absolutely amazing! He was very patient and kind, always explaining his work clearly, and these visits ignited her interest in oral healthcare. At the age of 10, she told her parents that she thought dentistry was cool and she wanted to become a dentist, and the rest is history.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Stein is proud to be a first-generation college student and completed both her undergraduate and Masters degrees at Texas A&M before earning her doctorate at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. During dental school, she took as many courses as possible to expand her clinical knowledge, studying iTero, Invisalign, athletic mouthguards, interdisciplinary treatment planning, and much more. To this day, she attends advanced training in pharmacology and endodontic treatment to further build on her expertise. She is also certified in Invisalign and nitrous oxide.
Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Stein worked as a dental assistant for an endodontist (root canal specialist) as well as in mobile dentistry, serving nursing homes and special needs communities.
Outside of the Dental Field, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Stein and her husband currently live in Wylie with their two sons, Rhys and Rhett, and dog, Hazel. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new places, hiking, and running in obstacle course races with her husband. Cooking is also a passion, and you can usually find her trying out a new recipe almost every single day.
